Place rope over spar.
Bring rope around.
Bring around again. This is the round turn.
Cross over. And tuck. This is the first half hitch.
Cross over again. And tuck. This is the second half hitch.

Note these two half hitches together make a clove hitch.

Use:
The round turn and two half hitches knot is used for securing a rope to a spar. Has good strength. Ideal for tying a hammock to a tree.
